Forum Upgrade - New Forum Accounts

Hi All,

You may have noticed that the forum has been offline for the last week. This was so we could upgrade the forum to a new mobile friendly version. You should now find that the forum is much more user friendly whenever accessed via a Mobile Phone or Tablet.

Unfortunately, one of the side effects of the upgrade was that we had to delete all previous forum accounts. This means that if you previously had a forum account, then you will have to recreate your account if you'd like to comment in the forum, or take part in any other way.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this. However, I'm sure you'll agree that the benefits of having a mobile friendly forum, far outweighs the inconvenience of having to recreate your forum accounts.

Please remember that when creating a forum account, you will be sent an email after registration that contains an forum account activation URL that needs to be clicked in order to activate your forum account. Failure to do this will mean that you will not be able to post in the forum.

Please let me know if you experience any strange behavior while accessing the forum and I'll be sure to look into it for you.

  • Global Chat Rules

Recently, we've noticed that there's been an increase in inappropriate messages being posted within the Sniper Strike Global Chat. This has led to various players receiving Bans/Chat Bans and we'd like to make it clear what is and isn't acceptable when posting messages in Global Chat.

We also understand that in many countries Sniper Strike is rated 18+ and because of this many players feel they should be able to post adult content without the worry that children will see this content. However, even though the game is rated 18+ children may still manage to play the game.

Also, another point to remember is that many adults also don't want to be subjected to abusive, obscene or threatening messages.

With the above in mind, we'd like to suggest that a good rule of thumb to follow to avoid receiving a Ban/Chat Ban would be to apply the Forum Rules whenever posting in Global Chat. Obviously, we don't mind the odd swear word in Global Chat as long as it's not directed at any individual, clan or group.

I've included an edited version of the forum rules below with a list of the rules that directly apply to Global Chat, please read these rules and try to follow them at all times to avoid any repercussions.

Comments may NOT include any of the following:
    • Obscene, offensive, hateful or inflammatory comments, also known as "Trolling" and/or "Flame Baiting".
    • You will not purposely provoke other people in order to start arguments, also known as "Trolling".
    • Be malicious to any other player.
    • Be likely to harass, upset, embarrass alarm or annoy any other person.
    • You must not engage in arguments with other players publicly. We encourage debate but should you need to resolve an argument please do so via Private Message.
    • As a last resort use the "Chat Mute" feature and try to avoid any future contact with that player.
    • Additionally, venting will not be tolerated. If you are too emotional to post coherently, but just feel like ranting on and on about something you are upset about, please don't.
    • To be absolutely clear, you may not post any content that mocks, denounces, ridicules or disparages any religion, belief system, lifestyle choice, race, gender, sexuality or nationality. Posting such content is grounds for an immediate ban.
    • Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, vulgar, tortuous, defamatory, obscene, invasive of another's privacy, or hateful.
    • Discriminating comments based on, disability, age, racial or ethnic backgrounds. Posting such content is grounds for an immediate ban
    • Any form of swearing, sexually explicit or abusive remarks directed at other community members is not allowed. Posts and comments may not include misspelled or starred out swearing, also known as "Masked Swearing".
    • Include "Callouts" for the purpose of publicly shaming members of the community and/or online players.
